Another Haigh Foundry Mile Marker
This looks if it could be just two miles further down the road from the marker shown here on the 20th inst. - but it is in fact on a different road altogether.

Quite a mystery this one. My guess . Old Parish. Chapel Lane maybe?

I would guess it is Irene, as I have seen one like this on Wigan Lane past the sand quarry and near a farm, wonder if these mile markers were cast at the original Leyland Mills Haigh Foundry, or are replicated by the J T & E Castings, Valley Gate Haigh Foundry.

I know where it is, it's 5 miles from Wigan and 3 1/4 miles from Chorley, lol, sorry David, I couldn't resist..
