Photo-a-Day (Monday, 5th August, 2019)
Ashurst Beacon
Some smashing views around Wigan, this one is just short of a horse looking over the fence.
Who needs to leave Wigan for scenery?
England at its best...,
Can i ask why we are commenting on 'this fellows' photos after yesterdays antisocial comment regarding Ron. His comments were lacking in sincerity or meaningful content and were totally out of order. Can I suggest that we send his future photos 'to Coventry', I for one, will be ignoring them forthwith.
Roy it's the beautiful country side that I am commenting on - that can't change whoever photographs it...
I will never comment on his photos ever again..I didn't put many on before,he's obnoxious.
Roy, I never comment on his photos, because of his rudeness to other people’s. I cannot believe that people are still commenting. Some may say that this is childish, then so be it.
Roy best way is to get all of your rejected mates to go out and take lots of photos and send them in to Wiganworlds Photo a Day, by doing that it will keep his photo down to a minimum and it should show some different areas of Wigan that he doesn't get to.
He doesn't deserve to have any positive comments on his photos, however 'scenic, after yesterday's episode.
Irene did you once upon a time live in Upholland? A friend I was speaking to this afternoon was asking if I knew whether or not you did. A yes or no would suffice. It could be someone else of course.
No, it wasn't me, Anne. And if you are the "Anne" who I think you are, just let me say that "Ike" gets about to all the forties' events. He is never still and is very-well-travelled and much admired! A little girl at Morecambe 1940s event last Saturday asked me if he bites!
I had put the comment on because of the scenery, Ron.....to be honest, I have been at Jamie's all day and have only just seen who had sent in the photo. School holidays have me rushing around like mad first thing in the morning and I just made a quick comment before I left the house, otherwise I don't see p-a-d until late evening. xx
I like Mick's Pic. Gets away from views of Wiggin Park, Haigh Hall, or the Cut.
Glad to hear "Ike" is enjoying travelling about. I always wondered how he would cope considering his poor underside.
Little doubt Mick made a bit of a gaffe yesterday , but I don't think his comment was made with malicious intent . I'd never seen Ron before either , and if I'm being honest , I found Mick's comment rather amusing . That must make me equally as culpable as Mick surely ? How about we give the bloke a break eh ? We're all human after all . And that being the case, then that must mean that we're all fallible . At least , that's the way that I see it .....I wonder , how many on here have actually spoken to Mick ?...Mick's O.K.
I haven't the skill to repair Ike's underside, Anne, so he stays as he is. I love him to bits! He is going to Lytham for the weekend next week but one, and to Beamish for the weekend at the end of August. What a Star! xx
I'm going to Lytham Irene for the day,- I hope to see 'Ike'
- is the owner a 'Yank' by any chance? I must stock up on 'gum'!
Hope to see you at Lytham, Veronica. Ike is a Wiganer, despite his name, so he doesn't eat gum, but is very partial to a pie, so watch out if we see you in Gregg's! xxxx
