2 Legends...
Photo: Peter (Nikon D5000)
Hello Ron!
Hiya Ron,when are you popping round again.
I dont get this, hes not a footballer but hes wearing a Wigan jumper, so is he a swedish netball player who supports Wigan.
Owd fellow on the right looks like somebody who you would see in B&M bargains complaining that something he had bought for 50p a year ago was broken.
You can tell Mick hasn’t had one of his own photos on for a few days can’t you!
Mick such remarks from you proves you are what most people rightly, perceive you to be. Only for him there would be no wiganworld for you to put your vitriolic remarks on.
Can someone tell us who the 2 gentlemen are in the photo
The Gentleman, (with a capital G), on the right is Ron Hunt without whom, as Scaramouche says, we wouldn't be able to put our views on these photos. He does so much for Wigan World and Wigan's Heritage. I'm amazed he doesn't ban some of the nasty, uncalled-for remarks that are put forward, but then that's the mark of a Gentleman. Thanks, Ron, for all you do.
Mick..Rons twice the man you'll ever be...there's one word for you..ignorant.
The guy with the Latics shirt is JIMMY NEESHAM New Zealand Test Cricketer. 3 days prior to this photo being taken he was playing in the Cricket World Cup Final at Lords He was staying with friends in Wigan with his girl friend. Her friend was playing in the NET BALL WORLD CUP in Liverpool. I gave Jimmy and his girl friend the shirts jimmy Neesham for people who don't know was the player who caught a catch in the semi finals against India which is being said was the BEST CATCH in World Cup History.

Maureen, I’m sure there are a lot more words for the ignorant, uneducated Mick, but they aren’t printable.
Kath,he's a coward, there's no way he would
say that to his face..I know what I would do if I was Ron..he'd be out of here,he takes some rotten photos too..and can't abide when someone takes a nice one...I really don't know why he's allowed to stay on WW.
I would just like to reinforce the comments about Ron, he is one of the nicest man you would ever wish to meet , I feel privileged to call him a friend . As others have said without Ron , Brian and the other volunteers we wouldn't have our ' Wigan World ' viewed in the 4 corners of the world . We devotees owe them a very big THANK YOU !
Ron,you're one of the best. Will Mick at least have the good grace to apologise?
The silence from Mick is deafening.
I was the closest with the netball comments.
Ill stop going into B&M bargains
I not sure if this is the same Mick who was an ex police officer and lives in Shevington but whoever he is he is a nasty piece of work, if its not that Mick my apologies.
Scaramouche,he never replies, that is why I call him a coward..he just does it for attention,he is a sick weakly human being behind a computer screen.
It's nice to put a face to Ron...it seems most of the time we are 'talking' to faceless people. Imagination takes over and usually they are nothing like we imagine them to be when we do see them!
Just to reinforce Tom Walsh comment.
2 years ago while I was researching the Thomas Woodcock story I needed a contact in Wigan to help me get in touch with Woodcock’s family.
Somebody I know gave me Ron Hunt’s contact number, Ron went out of his way to help me in this endeavour, as did Tom Walsh.
I will be forever in these 2 gentlemen’s debt.
A nicer and politely helpful person you’d ever want to meet.
Thanks Ron, and Tom and hopefully we can meet up for a beer next month.
What gives Mick 'you can see my house from here' the right to criticise and insult the man who puts in such diligent work to make this website so interesting. You really have gone too far this time.

The New Zealand team showed great sportsmanship and grace after losing the final in such an unfortunate manner.
A shining lesson in decorum gentlemen.
I've Met Ron several times: He's of medium height, carries himself well on a good set of pins (he could have been a tenacious wing-half at some stage of his sporting life), and most generous with his attention.
Mick...you really are one ignorant horrible person. The person on the right is the founder of this site. If I was him you would have been banned ages ago.
