Wuchy Rook
A different 'Rook' than I remember from 60 years ago, and I'm not from New Springs. Nice photo Ron.
A lovely and peaceful summer scene.
Nice one Ron.
I always wonder who planted that Rhododendron.
I say this a lot, but this photo reinforces the point, the Wuchy I saw in the early 50s right up to 1969 was a black/grey pile.
This is nature, with assistance, coming back.
Excellent photo Ron.
What a lovely, peaceful scene. I love the horses in the distance and the reflection of the rhododendron in the water. Well done!
Ron,that’s a beautiful shot, you have the horses, lovely fields and trees, plus the water and flowers..what more could we ask for..thank you.
Introduced to Britain in 1656 from the European Alps. And it's also satisfying to see naked metal pilings being overrun. The four steeds are unlikely to have been under the guidance of Aidan O'Brien yet add a nice touch to Ron's scenic Photo.
If only people didn't drop their filthy litter and cherished these places of beauty. The horses remind me of wild horses roaming the plains!
Just Lovely.
As the old song says “When this old world starts getting you down and people are just to much for you to bare” don’t go up on the roof, go for a long walk along the canal, enjoy the scenery, breath a little fresh air and things won’t seem so bad after all.
Thanks for this photo Ron.
I can't see any litter Veronica you must have better eyes than me.
Beautiful photo of one of my favourite areas of around Wigan.
It was meant generally Phil... Especially on canal banks. Don't worry your eyes aren't deceiving you.
I love your posts DTease, they always make me chuckle. Thanks.
Lovely shot Ron, was this taken from the side of New Springs Bridge?
