Photo-a-Day (Sunday, 9th June, 2019)
Lunch time
Well captured Alan ,beautiful bird of prey, well done.
Well caught both photographer and falcon. Bit easier to sex than Buzzards Alan with his bluey grey head.
Fabulous photo. Reminds me of the film, "Kes".
I watched one eating a pigeon in my garden a few weeks ago.
And then I saw one catch a Bluetit that was coming out of one of my bird boxes and flew off to eat that on the next door neighbors lawn.
After a couple of days I could see that the other tit had stopped coming back to the box so Had a peep and inside was 11 cold eggs.
Sad but thats wildlife for you, at least my tit didnt get killed by a well fed fat cat
excellent. Geeusabit
Ive just been watching a pair and 3 chicks on the Trencherfield mill tower
Well done, Alan.
Great shot. It looks like blood on the talons.
A grand photo Alan. I've always liked the Kestrel's rusty colouring, and how easy it is to spot as the bird hovers.
