The Wigan Flight Crew do a good job Ron keeping the place tidy and helping with the locks

It's looking good - but it must be so demoralising when litter starts to build up again later. 'Jackasses' the lot of them who are responsible...

Comment by: Mick on 8th June 2019 at 12:45

The jackasses will all be locals

All the more reason they shouldn't do it - especially when they can see decent citizens clearing up after them! It is one of my pet hates - if I'm near a bus stop and I see cans or bottles on the ground feet away from a litter bin - I have to pick them up- one of these days I'll be struck down with some 'lurgy' or another!

I hope he doesn't step back to admire his work.

Does he keep the Pick down the back of his trousers when he goes home?

The jackasses won't all necessarily be locals Mick, and they won't necessarily all be jackasses either. ( I'm not sure which Mick I'm addressing here incidentally so I'll assume It's the Shevy Thunderbolt ). The lad responsible for most of the cans at Shedfield bridge a few years ago you may remember, actually lives in Aspull, so I suppose it all depends on ones interpretation of ' local '.
This particular individual is a decent hard working sort who, having had the error of his ways pointed out to him is now a good pal of mine and we frequently go walking together.
I would probably reserve the term ' jackass ', for want of a better word, for those d***heads that bag up their dog muck then lob it into the bushes, or hang it on fence posts, as if it were a work by Tracey Emin for the passing public to appreciate.
On reflection though, it could possibly pass as one of Emin's better efforts.

Keep on truckin' Ron.

Mick , remember you posting what Ozy did , which was special. With so many people out of work , or seeking direction, why can’t we invite them to this heavenly space ?
Who would you like to share your sandwich with ? The Heron , The kingfisher, or the walls you daily see. This guy looks lucky to me , come rain or storm ..

That was the first thing that I spotted as well DTease although you coined the caption better than I could have......Hilarious.
