David this is a nice seasonal photograph.
I have never walked the "Loop" and I guess it is now too late, so keep the pics coming.

The bridge looks better from this angle because you cant see the crash barriers that they put up for them car rallying fiolk

A nice Photo' David.
And surely Jarvo will like it as well . . . Old Gold and railways, with a dash of black.

Good example of nature "taking back."
There are numerous examples all over the country of abandoned railway lines turning into nature reserves within ten years with little or no help.
One near here is the old White Bear line which ran from Adlington Junction to join the main LMS line at Standish.
Encouraging photo, David.

That is an absolutely beautiful shot..it would look lovely on anyone's wall.

If they could open the track from Hall Lane to Red Rock you would have a great walk all the way from Ince to Adlington.

Nice one David. Reminds me of Mama's and the Papa's 'California Dreamin'. All the leaves are brown, and........

lovely shot- unfortunately you cannot walk beyond that bridge because of the standing water/mud - a couple of attempts were made to make the old line a continuous path through to the 'Twenty Bridges' but alas...

Very Monetesque!

Comment by: Kenee on 3rd December 2018 at 16:51

Is that a word Veronica?
All it needs is a bend in the bridge and some waterlillies.
Oh and some water.
