That place was once a hive of activity .

I have never seen around the back of this workplace. It looks eerie - I presume it no longer manufactures tools or anything else.
The products were famous world wide!
Everybody knew somebody who worked there!

I didnt know anybody who worked there, They have not closed down, still operating from a building next door.

Byrney the Bike takes us into all kinds of nooks and crannies that we would otherwise never see.

I read somewhere recently that the presses had been shipped out to India, so you'll soon be buying your shovels from that country. Along with your Morris Oxfords, your Royal Enfield motorbikes and your cotton goods. Who'd have thought it eh? Importing cotton fabric to Lancashire.

Byrnie the Bike you wouldn't know anybody living in Shevington! Scowsers - by that I mean folk from Scholes would....Gradely people!

Ozy, a couple of years ago iPhone were bragging about the millions of Smart Phones they were planning to sell in China. Yesterday I read that Huawei, a Chinese firm that not many people will have heard of are now selling more Smart Phones than iPhone.
Roll on Brexit.

The thing is DTease, as I'm sure you'll already be aware, Brexit or no Brexit, this country is in Old Kent Road. It doesn't really matter that much to me, as I'm not planning to hang around for that much longer, but to just take the NHS for one example. It's being shafted royally by the pharmaceutical industry. Life saving medicines are costing thousands, GPs are advising patients to purchase their medicine from private sources, rather than pay the bloated prescription charges. I realise that research doesn't come cheap, but why not nationalise the pharmaceutical industry? Surely it's a start ? it must be better than being tied to a barrel by private multinational corporations . Maybe I'm being a bit naïve, but I've always thought that we were all in this mess together.....You'll have to forgive me if I'm coming across as being a bit negative, but I've just dropped my kebab in a pile of dog muck on my way home from the pub, and I've had to throw almost half of it away.

Regards. oozy.

We are all in it together Oozy, well apart from Cameron who seems to have adopted the life of a Trappist Monk in his garden shed. O and Boris who has started a new career as a squatter living on benefits. Then of course there’s David Davies but there again nobody ever knew what he was supposed to be doing anyway.
No doubt we will see them all again, probably standing on the shore waving us all goodbye as the rest of us go down with the sinking ship.
I can understand why you’re a bit down Oozy. I just hope you threw the right half of the kebab away that’s all.

Who's Oozy ??? We can't get for going on Brexit for countless reasons, mainly because every time a plan is put forward it gets shot down in flames..... this could, and does, run and run.

It'll probably run longer than'The Mousetrap' play in London Rosie G. I agree with you.
