Running in the rain
Time seems to stand still there - but the athlete dashes onward ......peaceful scene.
The Lonliness Of The Long Distance Runner?
Oh no, it’s that bridge again.
She doesn't look like Tom Courtney though Dt....
err...where is this bridge again?
I stood on the bridge at midnight,
As the clocks were striking the hour,
And the moon rose over Haigh Hall
Behind the dark shadow of some trees
I saw her bright reflection
In the waters under me,
And far in the hazy distance
Of that lovely night in June,
The blaze of the flaming fire
Gleamed redder than the moon.
somebody must be barbecuing up top lock way, after a few sniffs I could smell aroma of some burnt farm foods sausages drafting down along the tow path, I cocked my leg over my crossbar and hurriedly peddled off that way.
Shades of Alfred, Lord Tennyson there Mick, especially the bit about the burnt Farmfoods sausages.....or am I getting confused with Alfred the Great?...by the way, when you were stood on the bridge at midnight, you wouldn't happen to have been chucking snowballs at the moon by any chance would you mate?
Raindrops gently falling , passing does he hear , does he look around him , or course not my dear. But who are you to question ,
to judge the eye that’s me . I do not question you madam, I only question me..
Mick you have surpassed yourself- and not a scrap of negativity in there their they're! ;o}
From Where to my eyes it's a girl, if it's a man there's definitely a womanly bosom under the shirt. ( no offence meant)
