Photo-a-Day (Wednesday, 21st March, 2018)
Nice-Pak Factory
Ive noticed when I ride past this place they have a smoking shelter next to the canal.
Its good this company make there staff walk 100 yards to the side of the canal to have there smoking breaks, but the trouble is the smokers when they have smoked there cigs just flick there stumps into the canal
A good study of lines, well, thats the way I see it
Well composed, Joanne.
Good photo.
Stop mourning and enjoy the photo, Mick.
Yes, HoT there are many straight lines in the picture.
Nicely done Joannne.
'Moaning' Alan not mourning! Nobody' s dead!
A very familiar picture Joanne on here- usually gets people going....!
It looks like it's been made from Lego.
I think Alan was aiming at Mick!
Jolly good photo!
Me and Alan take it in turns pulling one another up....no offence meant!
Veronica is so sweet, and she's right! I'm in the corner with my Dunce hat on.
I suspect it's a modern building.
Aww that's nice of you Alan- but I don't think either of us can keep it up do you?
In the Red corner we have Veronica the Westhoughton Wizard and in the Dunce corner we have Alan the angry Hatter.
Your Referee for tonight's contest for the Horlicks Cup is suspected to be Howard P. Seconds out, ding ding rrround one.
Oh no not Howard the chief suspect - He'll make sure Alan has horseshoes in his gloves! But what a magnificent trophy The Horlicks Cup filled to the brim with Horlicks!
Oh, can't we have it filled with Garry's sherry, Veronica?
It's about time Mick learned which there to use where
Well if we're having a party then - to be honest a nice glass of red wine for me Irene!
We'll make that two large red wines then, Veronica, and we'll put them on DTease's account! xx.
And a nice piece of fillet steak Irene to go with it- make that two pieces for me I'll need one to cover my black eye! x
Sounds someone's been at the sherry already.
All at it again, directed off the post!
The people who wanted to comment on the photo had already commented. The bit of banter between others that followed did not detract from comments on the photo, nor stop others posting. Friendships have been forged between complete strangers on Wigan World, and that is surely not a bad thing in an increasingly hostile world?
I second that - there's only so much you can say about the not very Nice-Pak Factory which hasn't been said before. A bit of friendly banter goes a long, long way.
But thanks to Joanne for going out in the cold weather and snapping the photo it's much appreciated. ( Bet she wouldn't mind either!)
Ive not found any friendships Irene
Just wondering has Alan been promoted to Chief Director on the Board of Directors at Wigan World? He seems to lay down the law a lot re rules and regulations..... He would fit in very well at not very Nice- Pak with his clip board under his arm! You have to have a laugh sometimes even at work Alan!
Mick, whether people like your comments or not, you are a regular contributor to p-a-d and part of the group of "regulars" who comment, as is Alan, and therefore are pieces in the jigsaw.
Fillet steak? Red wine? I am Pensioner you know and not one of them rich ones I keep hearing about either!
How about Jam Butties and a bottle of Dandilion and Burdock instead? (shared between us of course)
If we are very nice to Alan he might chuck in and treat us!
I'm sorry, DTease, Dandelion and Burdock just WILL NOT DO! Veronica and I insist on wine, but the jam-butties are fine, (can I have a crust. please?).
A think whist aw aft feight fer who gets t'crust Irene! Un wi Veronica being o strung puncher it favvers me un thee 'ave nowt draw.
Dandelion and Burdock sound like names given to children today! I know one of the Rolling Stones children was called Dandelion....just a thought!
