A wandering
Lordy Lordy, what a mess. If this is supposed to be restored I dread to think what it was like before.
Excellent work. If this is the result of exterminating the awful rhododendrons, it opens up the woods to allow the return of native wildflowers (it will take time) and is a much more attractive environment for both people and our native wildlife.

Covered in weeds after years of neglect by Wigan council. This will give chance of growth for new and managed plants etc. Gardening (especialy big ones) takes time but worth the wait
You do have to give it time, I suspect if Ron took another photo in August, you would see a more mature seen.
Some folks are not so bright!!
Good photo Ron, the place will be even better in time.
All the woods look better now the rhododendrons have gone.
It'll probably finish up covered in brambles like a lot of the other places where the rhododendrons have been ripped out.
jj you're right on!

Rhododendrons are lovely as long as they are managed. Every park has them.
