Photo-a-Day (Saturday, 29th April, 2017)
Pendlebury Lane Haigh
A lovely rural scene -as if time has stood still. It would be very pleasant to walk down the lane.
A lovely shot..out in the country, away from the hustle and bustle..you can't bear nature.
Thank you Harry.
Agreed Maureen,..assuming you meant "you can't beat nature"!!
Not only a good photo, it is a more unusual location and certain to bring a few memories. Mine? Learning to drive in my dad's Triumph Herald, moving faster down that lane than his heart could stand - "Use the bl**dy break! Slow down." Just over 47 years ago. Feels like yesterday.
Yes Ellen,I did mean beat...what am I like.
Maureen. We are all the same, join the club.
Thanks all, Veronica you are right it's pleasant walking down but it's very steep coming up but worth the effort. H.
Gary, you cant do that any more, only authorised vehicles allowed. H.
Maureen 'typos' can be very amusing take Mick's the other day...(little George stood!)
Veronica, these iPads can put anything they want on at times..sometimes I have to laugh at the words they put instead of the one that I've typed out..I'm always having to do a bit of proof reading and even then the odd daft letter or word will sneak in.it can be both funny or embarrassing.
Harry it probably does you more good coming up the lane a bit breathless than meandering down slowly .... So they say!!!
