Looks like a dredger Ron maintaining the canal. Removing the silt from the bed of the canal.

I wish these canal maintenance men would stop riding around in there boats and get some of the canal tow paths in Crooke Gathurst, Appley Bridge, Parbold, Haigh and New Springs repaired.

Ken R; I`m surprised at your ignorance. Did you not learn about the people who circumnavigated the world?
This boat is going towards Chorley if the golf course is on the right.

Mick That boat had just completed repairing the towpath near the row-boating pound by the hump back bridge.

Ron was that the bit of damage cause by the dog walkers dog jumping in and out.

I wish they would get a mini bulldozer and remove all the grass thats growing in the middle of the towpaths, these are what cause a lot of cyclist to fall off and sometimes they end up in the canal

Mick, can you get treatment for being a Cyclopath.

Water lilies grew in abundance there in the canal at one time, I suppose they've probably been removed now with boating being more popular and them getting entangled in propellers.

Ernest. There was no ignorance just a stupid idea of humour. Sorry if I offended you.
