Make the most of it. If the council have their way soon be a mass of buildings and roads.

If Labour or the Tories are returned to power, this land like many others will be bulldozed and homes built for the thousands of immigrants already here and ready to cross our borders.
Well, Wigan is a town of friendliness and hospitality.

Langate estate to the left Ken R. I think it's close to Sougher's lane, off Wigan Rd.

That was always one of my most favourite views, stood on Rose Hill looking over to Winter Hill...Having lived in the USA for 39 years now, I do miss the 'Views', there are no views here, it's all trees... Thanks Dave... If you could tell me where you were stood to take this pic, so I could picture myself there, I would appreciate it...

Thanks all.

I was stood at the top of the hill - to the right of the old school (Now a Nursery)

I like the shadow in the left hand corner of the photo, and Im enjoying looking at that shape that looks like a big hen.

Janet (FL), which trees are you looking at? We have trees and sand too in Jax, but no hills.

Comment by: Janet ( FL) on 9th March 2015 at 12:54

Robin, I live in hilly Tallahassee, with trees, lots and lots of trees, very pretty, but no views. The only place to get a nice view is to go to the top of the Capitol building...
