Photo-a-Day (Friday, 6th March, 2015)
Green and pleasant land
Nice pastoral scene. How far from Brocstedes Rd is this shot
Beautiful shot Dave....lovely sunshine, but I bet it is still a bit chilly....cheers!!!
Make the most of it. If the council have their way soon be a mass of buildings and roads.
really lovely!
If Labour or the Tories are returned to power, this land like many others will be bulldozed and homes built for the thousands of immigrants already here and ready to cross our borders.
Well, Wigan is a town of friendliness and hospitality.
yes soon to change as peter says
Wutchie in the distance
Lovely photo again..with a hint of lovely Summer to come.
Langate estate to the left Ken R. I think it's close to Sougher's lane, off Wigan Rd.
That was always one of my most favourite views, stood on Rose Hill looking over to Winter Hill...Having lived in the USA for 39 years now, I do miss the 'Views', there are no views here, it's all trees... Thanks Dave... If you could tell me where you were stood to take this pic, so I could picture myself there, I would appreciate it...
Beautiful picture Dave.
Thanks all.
I was stood at the top of the hill - to the right of the old school (Now a Nursery)
Thanks Dave, I thought that may be where you were, but wasn't positive and Thanks for going out there and putting on so many good photos for us all, ( wherever we may live ) to enjoy.... :-)
Dave (Oy) comes up trumps again . Lovely shot Dave.
I like the shadow in the left hand corner of the photo, and Im enjoying looking at that shape that looks like a big hen.
Plans have been passed to build 600 plus house on this site and I think a supermarket. Another chunk of Ashton gone again. Ther will be nowt left. Thank god they can't touch the three sisters
Dont hold your breath Tony!!
Janet (FL), which trees are you looking at? We have trees and sand too in Jax, but no hills.
Robin, I live in hilly Tallahassee, with trees, lots and lots of trees, very pretty, but no views. The only place to get a nice view is to go to the top of the Capitol building...
At least it's not flat.. my daughter went to FSU and her daughter's there now.
Robin, so you have been to Tally, it is a nice place, just no views, lol.. My Daughter graduated from FSU also...
