A chilly morn on Aspull moor
Photo: Ron Dawber (Kodak compact camera)
Nice one Ron. That old farm house would have been the Leigh's farm, Alf and Jimmy Leigh, one was the father and the other the son, and I can't remember which was which. Used to help them out at harvest time and mucking out the big horses, the pig sties were next to the Methodist School yard, lovely smells.
Lovely photo Ron.... :-)
For those who were worried about me ...thank you so much for doing so....we are fine...lucky not to be too close to the fires...lots of smoke of course...there is a lot of devastation....but at this point no one has lost their lives... Cheers!!!
Nice photo, have noticed the houses being built, they do look nice. I think one of my cousins now lives there.
Thanks for letting us all know, Lizzie. I am glad to know you are safe.
My cousin lives in Brisbane so I always keep an eye on things such as this.
Love and best wishes for 2015.x
Lizzie the worrying was being done on yesterdays photo of the day.
Chilly looking pic Ron
Good thing is, it will soon be spring
Very nice, old and new can sometimes mix well.
Ken R - I remember Jimmy Leigh - used to come across to Aspull rugby club watching - had a brother who worked at GPO , now lives in Standish I think
Glad you're ok Lizzie. Wintry photo today, yet somehow makes me think of Spring.
