I say what lovely cars they are.
All credit to their owners. What value are they worth.

From looking at the inside of the one on the right, you'd think it was someone's second home. They seem to be making abit of a comeback, seen quite a few here and there in the past year or so than I used to, the same with VW Beetles. Had one in the late 80s/early 90s and they were tiny inside.

On one of our trips to Braunschweig our host took us to Wolfsburg - the VW factory & museum. it is a fascinating place. I learned to drive on a Beetle. great car.

VW were/still are pioneers in the camper van world. They are very expensive, brand new could set you back £35,000. These two almost 50 years old, and look at them, lovely.

They are very easy to work on, nothing complicated, German reliability.

A bit tastless considering the WW1 rememberance celebrations and the death of all our lads at the hands of Germans.
As for German reliability... its grossly overrated. I bet those vans have had a small fortune spent on them to get them in tip top condition.

Jemmy, your a fool!

Comment by: Jemmy on 21st August 2014 at 22:01

Why am I a fool, Garry? I just speak the truth. Hundreds of my mates were killed by Germans. Some died in my arms. Young lads from Wigan. I was one of the lucky ones.
I lived, but the memories haunt me to this day.

Its just a German motor show for gods sake. My grandfarter was a prisoner of the germans in the first world war. Let bygones be bygones. Lets all live in peace.

Comment by: truwigana on 10th September 2014 at 17:48

how can anyone live in peace as you put it Garry, when all you do all day is try and provoke reaction on EVERY pic on here,

Comment by: Garry on 18th September 2014 at 08:05

Well if people would lets say, be more sensible and meaning to a subject, then thing should only get better. Jemmy's comments was lets say, a little tasteless. The war was indeed awful and many did loose their lives. That included my late family. But this P A D it's about all German cars that's all.
