I've never been there at sunset. this brought a lump to my throat
At the going down of the sun and in the morning ..... we will remember them.

Great shot, Andrew. I miss the sunsets we used to get from the Vicarage next door.
Prompted by this, I've opened a new category in the Album, to mark the fact that this is the year in which we mark the centenary of the outbreak of the Great War. It is "War Memorials", under "Assorted".
The first pic I've sent shows the Dedication of this Memorial - I've sent it previously, but have re-submitted it in the hope that others might be inspired to seek out old pics of their local Memorials.
I used to pass here on the bus when I was coming home from work at around 5.45pm and loved to see the darkening nights over the cemetery in early Autumn, then the nights becoming lighter again around March. It brought a feeling of continuity. A lovely view, Andrew.
Good shot Andrew, sunrise / sunset hours provide great lighting for photos.
Lovely photograph and weird to see it today as Mum is buried there and would have been her birthday today.
