Big Rock
sadly a sign of the times hopefully it will be restored soon
Spent some time in there
Would frequent the red lion and big rock as we called it
I was born in a house across the road from there
such a bonny building going to waste. iy will probably end up as flats
am I on my own in thinking it looks similar to the building Ivy mount new springs heading towards Aspull
Is this the place that was a "fun" pub a few years ago?
Joe. When I first saw this I also thought it was Ivy Mount, but it is wider then Ivy Mount and the background is different.
I was happy and in a good mood, until I saw this photo....pull it down.
cant be pulled down as its a listed building.....but then again so was the old Town Hall
and here's a question for you...what was its name as a Fun Pub?
I may be wrong but was it not called ' The Rock Rock Cafe ' at one time ?
it was called ' The Rock Rock
Why is that garrry?
Just a thought I wonder if the will end up as flats [these days they call them apartments]Nice cloud formations
A.W. and Scholes Mac , yes it was a so called fun pub, it had an Irish theme, I can't for the life of me remember its name , it was something like Bridie O'Reilly's. There was a public house a little future along known as The Little Rock,on or the others correct name was The Rock Ferry ,again I can't remember which .
Garry's an idiot, Incer. Best just to ignore him.
Quite clearly IT'S an eye sore!
