A big dog like that shouldn't be allowed to run free.

Comment by: David Fairclough on 13th January 2014 at 00:12

Reminds me of Rin Tin Tin

Lovely photo lovely dog John. Mick you are entitled to your opinion, but if you knew Sasha as I do you might change your mind, I have been a dog owner most of my life, and never had a problem, dogs must have exercise in the right place.

Comment by: Mick on 13th January 2014 at 08:41

Garry they always had a dummy dog stood in the entrance of the market hall collecting money for a dog charity.

Sasha is safer than you Mick .A lovely being with tenderness. Nice one John.

I was bitten badly by a dog about the same size as this beautiful animal....I have been terrified of dogs all my life...until my son got a beautiful Kelpie named Tarsha to be part of his family....our beautiful girl taught me to love her and help me to get over being terrified around dogs....Tarsha has now gone but I will never forget her doggie kisses...A beautiful picture John....cheers!!!

That is a beautiful animal. She seems alert, intelligent and loving and if needs be, she would willingly die for her master.
I too remember Rin Tin Tin and Lassie Come Home. They forged in my young mind a great love of dogs and all animals. Superb photo.

Comment by: John H on 13th January 2014 at 16:40

Thanks for your wonderful comments, Its a shame that some people like to see soft loving animals chained up. Its treating them like that . that makes them mad

Comment by: Linda on 13th January 2014 at 17:36

What a beautiful dog Sasha is and a good photo too John. First thing I thought when I opened P-A-D was Rin Tin Tin.

Comment by: Mavis on 13th January 2014 at 19:43

What a beauty !

Comment by: annie mc on 13th January 2014 at 19:45

The dog isn't running anywhere, Mick

Comment by: dot on 13th January 2014 at 20:23

I have always had dogs and they are kept as pets. But we also need these magnificent animals in our lives. To assist police, and not forgetting the guys who fight and prevent wars. Lovely clear shot, more like them please.

Think we have had a few photo`s of sasha..beautiful dog.beautiful picture.

Comment by: Mick on 13th January 2014 at 22:46

All dogs are wonderful until they bite somebody go and ask a postman.

Fact is all dogs should be on leads at all times and dogs of that size should be on chains.

This can also be for the dogs own safety, if some other dog lover come round the corner with a couple of loose Staffordshire bull terriers.

Comment by: Paula on 13th January 2014 at 22:57

Beautiful girl Sasha, give her a pat from me. Lovely photo.

Comment by: Peter on 13th January 2014 at 23:07

Like aitch I had the pleasure to meet both Sasha and John on top of the rabbit rocks quite a few years ago
It's nice to see Sasha again
Regards to you both

I sometimes think some people should be kept in chains, only the silly people with silly stupid comments. My mum used to say to me don't play with matches you may just get burned

Comment by: annie mc on 16th January 2014 at 15:42

Always staffs isnt it? What an ignorant and narrow minded comment! Its just a beautiful picture of a beautiful animal, if you dont approve, I suggest you move on. That is all, thankyou for listening!!!

Comment by: Christine on 17th January 2014 at 22:10

Now that is one stunning dog!! takes your breath away. He seems to be saying "this is my land" could give him a great big squeeze

Comment by: John H on 19th January 2014 at 19:11

RE Christine: If you did give Sasha a big squeeze she would lick you to death, she really is so soft she loves being petted. Thanks again John h

Comment by: christine on 20th January 2014 at 19:21

John I apologize to Sasha I called her a he!...ooops seriously though the picture brought a lump to my throat it's just so majestic. and it's correct that there are lots of people who should be on leads. Not dogs..love to Sasha

She's a lovely looking dog. I've always liked Dalmations.
