It's the Duggy not the Thames. It's the lowest point in Wigan what's going to flood? Waste of money for me, mind you, i live up th'ill in Standish.

Mick Harry did say on his caption what they are for. If trees did get trapped on these posts would that not create flooding problems and how easy would it be to remove the tree or large debris? Cannot visualise the dam area will have to visit it one day

I was told that there was going to be a statue on the round plinth, visible near the trees between the third and fourth tallest posts from the left side of the photo.
