What a nice gesture David.....so sad to see all the pubs reinvented as other things.....nice to see a bit of blue sky still hanging around....thank you David...Cheers!!!
I miss the real English pubs
Sad picture I used to go in there when I lived in aspull ,not enough local support, good luck to the last managers, perhaps the locals should run it
is it still shut?
used to call in after our rugby training sessions at the school across the way - trouble is we always put more back than what we had sweat off!
My uncle and Auntie, Ken and Joyce Robinson ran the New Inn for many years before taking over Aspull British Legion. Another old fashioned pub bites the dust, sad.
So sad to see the new Inn closed down, yet another pub in aspull. I used to go in a few years ago and it was nice and friendly.
We can only lose 'em, we'll NEVER get them back ... a tragic sight !
David--My sentiments exactly!
...and it's sad to see so many closing!
Joe has it right - not enough local support! Several folks in this post are 'former' regulars!!
Thank you all for comments.
thanks Loz,I bet the people in the houses either side of the pub didnt frequent the pub
As former licencees,it is the brewery who get greedy....the more customers you have ...the more you sell.. so the brewery put up your rent etc etc. and of coarse the price of drinks.
