Retoration to what?

Undergoing restoration? I thought it was defunct. A great shame too. I celebrated my engagement (to Jackie Lenegan) there about 50 years ago. It was of course "The Crawford Arms" then.

I remember Mrs Hollingshead waiting on in there, and I used to sing there in the 50/60's. Good old days.

Why do they have to change the name ?

An interesting fact ,the postbox set into the wall is Victoria Regina, still in use . I wonder if there are any more in Wigan. I hope after renovation it reverts to its old name, The Crawford Arms . The paint peeling of the brickwork shows how short sighted it is to cover perfectly good bricks.
