I thought there was a shortage of schools?

Its the short length of the school day thats the real problem. Kids have it too easy these days.

I asked could I have a few bricks for a small wall in our garden we live in the same street and my wife went to the school and they said no you cant come in here so I will try and see the site manager.

I went there and so did my Brother, sister and my mam, We all have great memories of this school and it is sad to see it go, it has been used as the council tax offices for a good number of years but now they are gonna build council houses and apartments on the site.

I left this school in 1956 I have fond memories of my time there I believe it had 1 of the largest playgrounds in Wigan Such a shame The Chapel where I married is also demolished Wigan is being totally spoilt it has lost its character .

Sad photo. Wasn't my school but can imagine your feelings if it was.
I was quite choked when I saw pictures of my school being knocked down. It was the 'I was there once' feeling, and for a moment reliving it. It's like a part of you being taken from you.
