I recognised where this photo was taken when scrolling down to see it`s title.
Walked thro`this glen many times, but not for some years.
You have captured it`s beauty extremely well, Sandra and the glint of the sun helps a lot.
Were there any birds singing?
This glen is only a short walk away from the main road that runs from Dangerous Corner to Parbold Hill.

I put `fairy glen` in search box above and found Mick Byrne`s 7th January 2013 P-a-D.

A lovely wood not many Wiganers will know about this hidden gem.

Theres a lovely walk on Youtube that takes you from Appley Bridge along the canal and back through Fairy Glen.

Theres even a picnic stop on the way.

Then theres one that takes you from Shevy to High Moor via the Fairy Glen, with a ice cream stop on top of Parbold Hll

The childhood memories came flooding back. Brilliant photo Sandra. Have walked here lots of times in the past few years but there's nothing like
remembering how it was as a child.

Magical! You could almost believe the fairies are just awakening for the spring (do fairies hibernate???)!!
A masterful capture anyway with the hint of mystical mist! Thankyou.

I was born in Wigan but moved to London in 20s. I am absolutely gutted looking at all these superb photo's that I never went to any of them or even knew they existed.
