Photo-a-Day (Tuesday, 12th March, 2013)
Man with large sausage
Photo: Dave (Oy) (Nikon D700 with Nikon 16-36mm F/4 AF-S VR)
At first glance I thought it was a microphone and he was singing, he might be singing but is no microphone, I love the sausage, my favourite. Nice delicious photo.
I bet they where very expensive sausages as well.
We are all being ripped off by these Continental and Christmas Market.
I wonder if there vans where they keep there food stuff are checked by British health people.
Nice one Dave......great colours and atmosphere.....cheers!!!
Are Wigan sausages still filled with sawdust, like they were in the old days ?
How much per inch were they, Dave? Wonder what`s in those `bags of mystery` - a part of Shergar`s relatives!
I had a free tasting of smoked Cheddar cheese, which was very nice, but didn`t ask the price!
I enjoyed the Kitchen Theatre - a marquee in Market Place - part of The Wigan Food Festival.
One lady chef put some food aside for `a little minute` and another lady chef, after plating up her dish, said " Look at that, you can see the flavours". Both those expressions tickled me!
Mick - Why do you think you are being ripped off?? In the UK we what's known as freedom of choice, which in this case means you don't have to buy it if you don't want to. If you think these products are too expensive, go and buy your sausages somewhere else.
Nice and fresh . The picture I mean.
Hugh Wilson there not ripping me off, Im only sending out a warning to those that dont know but I dont suppose they will listen until its to late.
I wonder if there vans where they keep there food stuff are checked by British health people.
Nice one Oy, I saw someone taking photos with a camera on a tripod at this stall, but didn't realise it was you, I'll say hello next time.
Don't talk about the vans some caf's in Wigan are worse.
A jolly good photo - yummy!!
Superb shot.
Ken some kitchens in Wigan might be mucky but at least they stay in the same place so the authorities can check up on them.
These vans at certain times of the years will be dripping with rusty condensation all over what ever is in there.
Also the people who are selling at these markets have no place to wash there hands are anything else that needs washing
Thanks to those who like my pic. A big raspberry *Thbbbbbt* to those who can only post negativity. :-)
Cyril - that wasn't me with the tripod.
Take no notice dave ,you always get idiots finding fault , you need a good eye for photography and you got it .
Brilliant picture Dave..a complete change for Wigan World, can we have some more "people" pics??
Dave, you didn`t answer my question. Didn`t you buy any?
I can`t see any negative comments about your photo.
Dave Oy its not negativity I look at it as showing some interest in the photo that you have put on.
I bought a bratty from the chap, it cost me £4 - it was worth every penny, delicious! Instead of whinging, try it - you don't know what you're missing.
I still cant see anybody whinging and Ive tried everything thats why I know we are be ripped off.
Dave, I'm not partial to the continental market, But a good pic indeed.
Now compared to some of the food pics that have graced WW by Mick...
It looks positively 3 star Michelin quality..;o)
Love the people photos, the sausages looked so good,I would try it if I could.
Art I didnt know we where judging the quality of the photo, I though photo of the days was just to show a little bit of whats going on in our world today.
Brian, what`s a `bratty`. Put it on Google and you`ll be amazed!
Local market produce is what I want. Buy British!
Exactly Gary but we wont get them in the town centre if theres Wiganers who keep flocking to these continental ones
Best big banger I've had was a "Dragon Fire Bratwurst" at the Bent & Bongs Beer Bash recently! It was a big roll in t'fridge job for sure!
Maybe it was designed to make you drink more ale Dave.
I wouldn't buy Jack from these men!!!
i smell racism here, mick garry etc, wigan is better off without your kind, you are stuck in a victorian timewarp
