Wigan Pier 'Street Art'
If it's done with the knowledge and consent of the owner of the wall, it's art. If not, it's vandalism, wilful damage or whatever you want to call it - a crime.
Nice one Andrew, I love street art....nice and bright....cheers!!!
Can see this white `wall` - with `Budget, Exhaust and Tyres` painted on it - on Google Earth. There`s a tree in the way to see it all.
Do you know how long this `Street Art` has been there, Andrew?
that's Micks handwriting!
The old confronts the new.
Dont believe in vandalising walls with so called street art.Notice who ever does this never sprays the walls/fence/garage of their own property.
Well photographed Andrew and something different. Not a big fan of people drawing on walls and street furniture. Having said this, some street art is exceptionally good and needs to be recorded for the archives.
I would say that's graffiti and not "Street Art"...horrible, look at some parts of the railways in this country.
And more cobble stones!
I detest graffiti in any form and certainly don't want to see photo's of it!
Fortunately the UK doesn't suffer from graffiti to the extent that they do in Europe. Much worse in Germany, Italy, Spain and France. Let's keep it that way.
Gary; Not to mention North America!
We have the problem of graffiti in Adelaide.... But wall art I like.....some of it is quite spectacular.....people have been painting on walls for a very long time.....if it means something and looks good then in my opinion it has a place.....cheers!!
That graffiti is just the start of what i fear will become a horrible mess in the area.
You can see this mess as you drive in to town up wallgate too.
The authorities should just quickly get rid of it asap,as unremoved graffiti just invites more of the unsightly stuff.
Graffiti if not kept in check, has the potential to spread over the entire area.
ART??,more like sheer uninvited & unwelcome vandalism that blights an area making it a far less nicer place to be.
