Hi Lizzie, no further thoughts on St Peters i'm afraid. Will get back to you if i have any inspiration. I think the problem is we were in different years.

Comment by: Lizzie down under on 9th December 2012 at 09:41

No worries Pat, it is just great that we were at the same school. Most of the schools here have archive photos etc. that can be accessed on the net. Anyway cheers mate!!!!

Comment by: Dave Marsh on 9th December 2012 at 19:33

Lovely photo,Oy,was there a temptation to crop?

Comment by: Lizzie down under on 9th December 2012 at 19:43

Thanks Dave, it looks very nice. There is a bridge in the background, what would be the road that goes over it, just curious, cheers!!

Comment by: Ernest Pyke on 9th December 2012 at 20:42

Enjoyed your video Mick - excellent background music.
Bridgewater canal is 39 miles long and was opened on 17th July 1761.

When was this photo taken, Dave?

Comment by: Jenny on 9th December 2012 at 21:51

I mean Mick that's it's not a boring shot of a street and a few cars, it's got nice composition and framed to perfection, a truely lovely shot. Is that OK Mick?

Comment by: Art on 10th December 2012 at 01:38

No comment on the actual photo Ernie? (that's what it's there for)
Telling us how knowledgable you are, & able to use Google, doesn't quite fit the bill...

Very good shot Dave!!

Comment by: Mick on 10th December 2012 at 05:47

Yes thats OK Jenny, like you say your talking about the composition and framing of the photo.

A lot of other viewers who have minds of there own dont see the everyday street photos as being boring like you said because they jog there memories and make interesting debates.

Comment by: Dave (Oy) on 10th December 2012 at 09:23

Dave Marsh: Yes there was - and I did - but only slightly :-)

Comment by: maggie on 10th December 2012 at 11:26

I wasn't able to see this yesterday, i wish I had. Thank you so much, it brings back so many happy memories.

Comment by: Ernest Pyke on 10th December 2012 at 13:54

Art, you are in the same boat as me.

Comment by Dave (Oy) on 19th October 2012 at 13:14

Isn't it great that we all see things differently? photography is an art form and thus open to interpretation. If you like it - excellent! You share my view and interpretation. If you don't like it - that's fine - you have a different view - that's allowed :) I'd certainly prefer a mix of responses as above than nothing - or a list of "nice shot" with no nothing to say why. Keep them coming :)

Comment by: david on 10th December 2012 at 17:23

I think there are too many competing focal points!

Comment by: Art on 11th December 2012 at 01:27

Dunno' why you're why you post something about another thread Ernie.Nowt to do with this one

You fail to comment on the photo on this thread, just like you connected a doctors surgery to a photo of a telephone box.
BTW you have another comment on your community board thread I highlighted earlier..
If I was in the same boat as you, it would be "red flare" time.;o)

Comment by: John Morris on 28th December 2012 at 20:13

Some photographs are about the destination (the focal point) this one is about the journey. I love it.
