I don`t buy any newspapers now and look at them on the Internet.
Read the Wigan Observer in Wigan library. Price of newspapers is exorbitant considering the amount of adverts in them.

How many folk must Frank speak to in a week. Always has time to have a chat, a true Wigan institute.

Nice photo...very interesting. Looks like a good selection of papers and magazines.

I agree with ernest though..

I was visiting my daughter and son-in-law the other day----
and asked if I could borrow a newspaper.

'This is the 21st century, dad,' he said.
'We don't waste money on newspapers.
Here, you can borrow my iPod.'

I can tell you, that bl--dy fly never knew what hit it...........

I always thought Frank Ryding was tall until he came into Boots', where I used to work, and he was small! He is actually standing on a raised platform behind his newspaper stall. I love the custom on Frank's stall of putting a paper band around customers' newspapers and magazines, so they stay in one piece in your bag until you get them home. Such a simple but effective customer service. Well done Frank.....a Wigan institution and a true Gentleman!

Wouldn`t like to do the stocktaking on there! Good choice for customers though, hope people support him.
