Further down Standishgate, the same day that I saw this `Statue` chap, was a most unusual sight in Wigan - a chap was sculpting a dog in sand. Wonder if anyone has taken a photo of this sculptor for Photo-a-Day?

Ah but I bet it was the same Romanian man inside the sheet.
My, how he has grown.
Is begging legal in Wigan town centre these days?
That "statue" Man gets everywhere.
Great photo.
He was the one I saw in the centre of Liverpool a couple of years ago
It's Artistic Licence. Not begging.
Ha Ha, the ghost of Wigan Past.
David did he blow the bubble that is above him or was someone else blowing them.
its the only way i can make a living theses days so leave me alone and dont tell the DHSS what im doing. a big thanks to all who gave me money on that day i where very hungry. and a big thank you too the person who stole my box. have you ever seen a statue trying to run?
Have you got a screw loose, Dirty Harry? Sorry , I'll rephrase that; you obviously have got a screw loose.
Perhaps you think you're funny? We'll...funny peculiar perhaps! Certainly NOT amusing by any stretch of the imagination.
well well well clean harry i must of hurt a nerve . try an get a sense of humour DO'H
I saw the guy with the sand and he had made a dog. But this was in Southport yesterday. What I dont agree with is the guy in white gives lollipops to kids. Poor mums trying to get past, without a lolly. Bad for the teeth.
I've got a great sense of humour for anything thats funny, dirty harry... So try and be funny, instead of making outlandish remarks. 'Joking' about breaking into a persons house and wanting bank account details isn't funny no matter how you meant it.

I saw this statue in Ibiza and in Barcelona........I find them quite weird and creepy. They all look the same to me !
Great stuff, Dirty Harry versus Clean Harry. My money is on Clean Harry...sorry dirty but clean is better... go for it Clean Harry..!!!!
Forgot to say, nice pic, David.
Cyril, there`s a chap selling the `stuff` to make bubbles who is opposite the Grand Arcade and he blows these bubbles to attract attention:the breeze carries them wherever.
Cheers Ernest, I'll have to get one of those bubble making machines to keep the cats entertained.
he was at southport yesterday,,and so was the sand man, making the dog,,,,,
