Felled Tree in the Walled Gardens
Photo: Roy Hesketh (Lumix FZ45 Bridge)
Nice photo of the Walled Gardens, brings back memories. I bet that would blacken your thumb nail if it feel on it.
They will tell you anything.Trees usually become diseased from the centre out. There doesn't seem to be too much disease on this tree yet.
I hate to see trees felled. I know that it is necessary sometimes but it looks so sad.
That tree stump would make a nice bench if they cut it into a bench shape.
They showed a nice one in a Yorkshire churchyard on the Dales TV show last night.
There is a nice bit of timber there if they can get a lorry in to take it to the sawmill. After all these trees were planted to be harvested, perhaps it would pay some bill for the maintainance of the Country Park.
"If a tree dies, plant another in its place"

Nice to see the walled garden. Happy moments there.
