Wigan Cemetery

Last time I saw Wigan Cemetery in was in a horrible mess. A lot of the graves were covered by years of vegetation but that was a few years ago. I hope it's improved.

I was sat with the missus chomping a prato pie in the car when I spotted 'her' The statue was over 100 yds away and I thought I'd test the zoom on the camera.
I visit the cemetery regularly but its the first time I'd seen the statue.
Good shot. She does remind me of Ms liberty. Maybe if she was holding the Olympic torch (That's coming through Wigan!) the resemblance would be complete. Left hand though instead of the right.

Pies were from the shop in Abram. The one near the bend close to the old boarded up town hall. Me and the missus buy them from there every three weeks and chomp them in a quiet spot. Nowhere much quieter than the cemetery!

Hi, Jean F. No pies this Saturday, breakfast at Laurel Nurseries. Not the same as a nice prato pie though!
