Lights
Though the stores in there are okay, there just isn't any character to that building at all, you've shown me something that I hadn't seen before Andrew, though I do admit that I have never looked up whilst in there.
If you go up stairs Cyril you wont have to look up as far.
very nice but never looked so far up has i find with the arcade it seems to me the further i go in the more closed in i feel not a nice feeling .
put these lights up near entrance then spoiled the veiw by letting the jewellers shop front jut out so making the lights look out of place
Bit "heavy looking" for the arcade.
Rminds me of the similar lighting in manchester airport years ago.
who gave the go ahead for this ugly ,echoing, tin ,remindes me of the sound of the baths, out of keeping with old wigan crap, shops are ok but its not somewhere i go often hardly ever, why didnt they do something with the galleries, much more cosy, all those empty shops what a waste of money they could have done it up instead of spending all that money on grande arcade every one i speak to says they not keen on it or even hate it . well thats my gripe done.
ann, im the same in the grand arcade. as soon as i get to the turn i feel closed in, its not nice at all, and the shops that are in there are all expensive ones, waste of money, could of done something alot better and useful and then at least half the shops in the centre wouldnt be empty
