Excellent photo though.Beautiful colouring. I have seen some Blackbirds and Great Tits recently with vivid colouring.
No way are these pix boring, they are simply beautiful.

Yes a male chaffinch Fred ,the females are olive brown and less colourful than the males.Having said that a lovely photo Ron...

I stand corrected. I will do my best to get the next one right .But not to say I will.
Must also say that the sharpness is excellent, Ron. The bird is at an angle and the sharpness from head to tail is perfect.
What's with all the critics? Birds are beautiful, and these have been beautifully photographed. We should all be grateful to Ron and to all our photographers for showing them to us. I know that I am!
