From the wigan.gov.uk website - 'start your journey later, when the gritters have been out' - I haven't seen 1 all winter so that means don't go anywhere!

Lee,I wouldn't go that far, i've seen gritters and snowploughs only yesterday.I know they're not round every corner but they have been out.Nice photo Sarah.
The gritters went passed our house four times. That much snow if they were going 24/7 wouldn't be any better. I see the bin men are round the town center with spades shifting the snow. well done lads

We have been badly let down by wigan council during this winter spell...come voting day the public will pass their judgement!!
Do you not have snow plows come by there to plow the streets when it snows? It doesn't snow a lot here either, but, we do plow the roads when it snows.
They dont plough the side roads Sammi,just the main roads.
