I thought this was the Wiganers at work page not the "dirty owd brick walls and stinky tunnels of Wigan" page.

Back in the late 1960's we used to play in the tunnels on the way home from Wigan baths. There were old bed frames still down there back then.

Remember this story coming out and the rubbish that 'mex' spouted in the interview. A few of us had been in and out of those tunnels for many years, Keeping them concealed from everyone and then we made the mistake of showing a couple of people. Just as well the towns other big hidden secrets are now firmly confined to a few of us.
