Re your query about Jeff Ellison I can only tell you Jeff came to Reed in 1960 from Oliver Hart of Coppull I think that he and family lived at worslely hall area. he was a big fit six foot tall and I believe he only had one eye hope this has been of some help

Yes your dad work as a driver at Reeds he and I along with your mother Brenda we’re old friends
Your dad had a triumph TR2 car and I had a TR 3A
in 1961/2

Just to say my mum & dad we’re friends with Jeff Ellison and he used to call on them after Dad retired. He would call round in a very sporty Jag. My Dad Jimmy Dawber was a driver for Reeds for a long time.

Oliver Harts Haulage in coppull . I know every one of the drivers being one of the 7 original drivers took on back in 1959 when Reeds came to Wigan

Darren your dad Roy came to Reeds in June 1961 after a couple of years he was unfortunately involved in a accident at Kellogg’s corn flakes in Manchester and he had to finish at reeds he then went drive the Wigan library bus.Bill parr
