This was Dave Ellis Scania 142 low loader it was simply a magnificent machine I well remember going to Hull docks loaded with a caterpillar D9 gross weight 70 tonnes and it romped up long hill on M62 the police escort asked how fast could we go so as to not cause some serious tailbacks
I can just say we caused no tailbacks.Dave Ellis regular driver of this outfit was Dave Hardcase and I couldn’t wait for him to hand over to me .Happy Memories
