Popular Wigan actor Bernard Dowdall is really treading the boards these days as he expands his repertoire appearing in Joe Ortons celebrated play Entertaining Mr Sloane.

Rene Mulqueeny I notice on the photo below "Bernards a Gangster" you describe Daphne and I as "old bags". I assure you that we are not old bags. We may not be in the spring time of youth but we consider ourselves refined and fragrant ladies.
I accept that you may be a good friend of Peter Bernards and I assure that Daphne and I never meant to imply any personal cticism of the actor.
In fact Daphne and I are looking forward to seeing Peter Bernard on the stage. I expect Peter bernard to be a very fine gentleman. Any criticism that Daphne and I would reflect, I assure you, would be based purely on the actors performance.
If any of Peter Bernards fans or his agent would be so kind we would very much like to have details of his next stage performance.
Perhaps then we can not only enjoy Peter Bernards performance but can say hello to you to Rene. Best wishes.

You take a good photo Curly lad. I look forward to seeing you on TV. Hey Curly lad - how did you get into this lark. Youre making me jealous all these birds argueing over you.

Hi Nick, is that short for Nicholas, I think it is. I've not seen you since school days. Who would have thought little Bernard would have become famous when he was at St Marys. Doesnt he look handsome.

Mr Dowdall. Entertaining Mr Sloane is one of my favourite plays. I have been trying without success to find it on the web. I hope you are appearing locally as I would love to see the play again. Can you give me the details please.
