Notes: This photograph shows Canal Street in Ince in 1967. My wife is the little girl in the middle of the three. The family lived at number 12 Canal Street. As you can see, it was not a street as such, just the canal towpath.

Notes: Canal Street is actually just out of shot over to the right in this photograph originally posted in 2006. The photograph actually shows the more modern entrance road to Foster's playing fields.

Notes: The series of photos show the old Ince Hall branch of the canal which runs behind the houses on The Grove. If you walk through the entrance gates to Foster's Playing Fields and step into the undergrowth/bushes this is where I took on Easter Sunday.

Notes: The view on 31st March 2024 showing where Canal Street once stood. The houses were demolished in the early 1980's due to the ground beneath them becoming unstable.
