How lovely and looks peaceful.

Comment by: Mick on 24th June 2025 at 08:43

You're right, poet, it is a good, clear photo, unlike others I've seen taken down Langtree Lane.
Are the potholes the results of people looking for the treasure?

“ This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi paradise”.
Watch-out, Watch-out,
Rayner’s about! …

Mick, Langtree Lane is an unadopted road, who do you expect to maintain it?

Comment by: Barry on 24th June 2025 at 16:48

I like the three colours, blue, yellow & green on today's photo

Comment by: Martin on 24th June 2025 at 20:00

A superb picture today. The colours are spectacular.

‘Langtree Lane is an unadopted road, who do you expect to maintain it?’

Simple – those with a legal duty to do so – the frontagers

"Behold, I say unto you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest". John 4:35. KJV.

Whenever I see grain fields that are almost white, and waiting to be harvested, like of the photo, I'm always reminded of the above Bible verse.

I also agree that it's a good photo.
Mick, it's all those Chelsea Tractors that are owned in Staundish, that are making all those pot-holes.

Comment by: Pat McC on 24th June 2025 at 21:53

Cyril - it's so good to "lift up your eyes and look". I'm caring for my lovely husband who has Lewy Body dementia, and find that weeks pass and I've forgotten to "look up". There is so much beauty in looking up rather than down. A beautiful photo Mick, thanks.

Comment by: Cyril on 25th June 2025 at 13:23

Both yourself and your husband have my sympathy Pat McC, for dementia is an awful illness, and it robs the person of so much.

Thank you Cyril for your kind words. Best wishes.

Comment by: Veronica on 25th June 2025 at 14:50

Mine too Pat as Cyril says there’s so much lost from the person you have always known. It’s so very sad. I wish you all the best with your care for your beloved husband.

Comment by: Pat McC on 25th June 2025 at 18:37

Thank you Veronica. Will try and 'look up' more rather than down and count my many blessings. Best wishes to you too x
