Dog or a Stag

Dog or a Stag
Some people may remember that I posted a photo of this tree on P.A.D (Fri 12Nov 2021) taken near the Civic Centre, Aspull.
There was some discussion about whether it looked like a dog or like a stag, but what does it look like now?
It looks like a big, pink hen to me.

Well Dennis, that really is weird one.
At first glance I thought it was a Termite Mound.
Is it Clematis Montana, I’ve never seen anything quite like it.

After a few pints it could look like a giant seal/ walrus (sea dog) resting on its ‘paws/fins’…with branches stuck in its earhole.…he must have dragged the branch as he slithered up the beach…the sea behind him.! He’s changed quite a bit from last time I have to say….
Interesting photo Dennis …something different.

Harvey . The invisible rabbit that drinks with James Stewart .

It reminds me of The Houghton Weavers' song:
The Martians have landed in Wigan,
And they're wearing flat caps on their domes.
And they've paid all their subs to the working men's clubs
Cos Wigan reminds them of home.

IVE JUST BEEN BACK TO 12 NOV 2021 AND CAN SEE MOST OF THE COMMENTS ARE about a dog muck bag stuck in the trees

Looks like some form of fungal disease on a wart. Sorry but it's a.very unpleasant picture to me.

Would never have known this was a tree. It looks like a carbuncle. Not an aesthetically pleasing picture to me. The photo is like the Rorschach inkblot test - can mean different things to different people depending upon their psychological condition. If so then I don't know what it says about me then.

Mick, you was the only one who noticed the dog bag! The question was did the tree look like a dog or a stag, the fact that you only saw the dog bag says more about you than anything else.

The song by Automatic - Monster sprang instantly to my mind - What's that coming over the hill, is it a monster, is it a monster?! Nice sunny shot, nature is amazing.

Yes he does lower the tone saying he comes from Shevvy La. I don’t think the Parish Council would like it if Mick called them ‘ M—-B—s!. Just shows definitely can’t remove rough edges of some folk.

Yes Dennis I was the first to notice the dog muck bag and that was only because I actually look at the photo which to me didn't look like a dog or a stag

Now I've had some time to think about what this photo looks like to me, and it's not a dog or a stag.
To me, it looks like a giant ant hill that I first saw when my driver was taking me from the airport to the Point Noir hotel in the French Congo.
This was the first time I had ever seen a giant ant hill, and they are big.
So yes, today's photo takes me back to those days when I was young, fit and could charm the women, but having said that, the Congolese women didn't need much charming.

Good photo Dennis, and yes just like one of those Polish chickens: https://chookcity.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Polish-Breed-Chicken-Crest-1536x1024.jpg

It looks like a dinosaur with a fern in its mouth!! Mind you, I'm due a visit to Specsavers, so I might be well off the mark!

I doubt that very much Mick, because the women, even the young girls have an awful life in the Congo, and have done during one conflict after another since the 1960s.

Well said Dennis and Veronica. He does indeed like to lower the tone.

I think it looks stupid.
