Hacker T Dog

Photo: Joanne (iPhone)
There are many interesting items see to in The Museum. Nice photo to share Joanne. Hacker was very popular on TV but found it an irritating embarrassment.
The museum label says:
Hacker T Dog, Dave Lime and Harry Tongue, 2011-12
Y’alright Cockers! This is Hacker the Dog from CBBC.
Built by Neil Sterenberg, Hacker has been on the telly since 2009, performed by multi-BAFTA-nominated puppeteer, and Wiganer, Phil Fletcher. Hacker has featured on many TV and radio programmes, including his own critically acclaimed chat show ‘Hacker Time’. He is also globally known for his viral moment, ‘we’re just innocent men’!
You can follow him on Instagram @hackertdog, and Phil @philfletcherofficial - tag us in your photos cockers!

He's so cute! I haven't been in the museum for years; my friend worked there at one time. I used to watch the young children's channel "Cbeebies", when I looked after my granddaughter as a baby, (she's 18 now).
Sometimes Edie would nod off and I would quite happily sit and watch "In The Night Garden" and "Balamory" on my own! I can still fall about laughing watching Sweep of "Sooty- and -Sweep" fame on youtube. There's nothing wrong with a bit of innocent fun, and Sweep makes more sense than some of the so-called "celebrities" we see today!
I believe Hacker used to live in Shevington before he died. It's a shame he ended up stuffed and put on display.
Beautiful displays and on our doorstep.
Was it the Parish Council that had him stuffed Mick?
Or did he get flattened on the Parish Motorway?
Taking pictures in there Joanne? You’re lucky that you didn’t become the object of Police action!
The present exhibition is well worth a visit , there are hundreds of exhibits. Among the artefacts - a hand washing machine .I imagine that many people have never seen one or even know of their existence .
People can be assured of a warm welcome, the staff are very helpful.
I can see that the museum of Wigan life has an exhibition going on about the Crawford family, I wonder if there's any mention about the 26th Earl of Crawford Ludovic sailing off to Mauritius to record the transit of Venus, which only occurs every 243 years. Recording this was essential for the advancement of astronomical calculations to establish the distance between planets and the size of the solar system. On his return to Wigan, he was given a hero’s welcome, with locals lining the streets and brass bands performing on his way back to the hall.
Mr DTease, he was shot by the local Parish Pouncer when mistaken for a Peacock, apparently. However, with him having no similarities to a Peacock and talk of a large bounty being paid out, the investigations are ongoing.
A pleasant and unusual photo Joanne.
Joanne, despite not being a fan of said dog, I found your comments very interesting. Hope you keep posting.
Great photo Joanne, I have seen the puppet on TV when viewing CBeebies with grandchildren, the character seemed to have taken off from where Basil Brush left off, and they even got that Fox puppet back out of the toy chest and on TV again.
Irene, here's a photo of some of the characters from In the Night Garden, and they're playing a game of hide and seek with Makka Harold Pakka and his bike:

Cyril, I thank you for that but I won't be able to get the "In The Night Garden" tune out of my head now! ."Dum-Dum-Dum-da-da-da-Dum Dum". It will haunt me!
Great pic jo anne. I love Hacker
