I thought of Milton Keynes for a minute but may I ask why a red cow?

He’s looking a bit deflated Dennis.

I remember a black and white cow in a school yard in Aspull years ago, but haven't seen the red one. I also recall tall thin "pencils" by the crossing where the lollipop lady stood, to show it was a school crossing.

What an Eco friendly lass ,
Gives no beef and emits no gas ,
Grazing outside Aspull school
She don't swing her tail or go moo ,
Very conscious of global warming ,
Needs no meadow or dairy farming ,
Yields no butter gives no milk
Never trumps or make a stink ,
While Mabel and Gertrude get the blame
For filling the air up with methane ,
The red cow is a model species
Producing not an ounce of faeces ,

I wonder what's the red cows name ?
She has no heart and has no brain ,
No perception , idea or sense ,
Nodding in the shippon of the parliament .

There has been a cow in their grounds for years, but I think it used to be black and white?

Looking at Lily 'The Pink' cow, perhaps those pots are for collecting Strawberry Milk Shakes for the children?

The Green and Pleasant land
has always been my place
the cows and sheep upon it
a part of what we grace .
The hillside and the meadows
so yonder far to see
have held so many cow pats
and flies that live to be .
The cow it chews so endless
it sweeps its tail to swat
the flies that wait so patiently
for the contents that it's got .
So when it lands and splatters
the said flies now can feast
and the cow can keep on chewing
expelling gases best released .

Irene, your right the black and white cow was in the grounds of Bolton Road Church School, now demolished.

Wonder what happened to the old cow…I remember seeing it when I was on the 715. I hope it didn’t escape and knocked down crossing the road.
