There is after all so much beauty in a simple scene to appreciate and be thankful for.

What a contrast in weather we have had over the last week or two.
Cold crisp mornings like this, torrential rain and floods and heavy snow for the last two days. Looking out again this morning it’s white over again.
I might venture out again later.
Have you forgotten, Colin, that you can't walk very far?from seeing some of the excellent photos you send in, it seems to like whatever was holding you back has gone away.
Beautiful photo Colin of my favourite place. We are so lucky to have such a lovely space right in the middle of town.
Wigan Park holds memories of fun and games in the fifties and of sunny Sundays in the sixties.
I was reintroduced when I took the grandchildren in the school holidays a few years ago when the Council provided ‘fun and games’ run by volunteers I should imagine. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There must have been some ‘cut’s’ because the games only seemed to happen for a couple of years. I thought that was a great disappointment for Wigan children. I don’t know whether the games were resumed later or not. I have a photo of my granddaughter which appeared in the Observer during a ‘trolley run’ round the park pushing another little girl. Needless to say she didn’t win - she was only eight at the time and there were bigger and older children taking part.
Tom, from time to time I get a 'Bee In My Bonnet' about a certain place or potential scene, especially if the weather is just right.
Then with a combination of motivation, determination and more often than not, Bee Network out I get on a mission.
You may have noticed that many of my pictures are of Parks, Churches or Pubs, reason being they all have somewhere to park my proverbial when my back starts aching and as far as a pubs are concerned to consume a tonic for medicinal purposes.
Should the walk be too long and no bus route home, there is always Uba or if the medicine was too effective, show a bit of leg and thumb a lift home.
So Tom if you are ever driving around and see a 77 year old man at the side of the road with a iPhone in his hand, his trouser leg rolled up and thumb out, you will know who it is when you look away and accelerate past!!!!!!
