Mr Mayor

Mr Mayor
I see the budget didn't go well for the Mayor then!

Good photo Dennis no Road fund license or MOT required.

Buick D45 built in 1915.
Reg SV5821. This car was for sale at Mathewsons (Bangers and Cash) At Pickering in February 2024.

Comment by: Peter Walsh on 16th March 2024 at 07:19

Excellent photo, it is registered as a Buick D45.

Some in our Government would ban this car for polluting the air that we breath.

Comment by: Mark on 16th March 2024 at 08:06

Looks like an old Bristol vehicle, it's not the mayor's car, he has a Volvo. And this car would be worth much more than the volvo.

I'm sure we passed this car in Beech Hill a week last Thursday. I LOVE old cars....they have so much character.

The Mayor can’t be very comfortable on the back seat he looks very ‘hunched up’….shades of Keystone Cops. ;~)

Love the photo Dennis. It reminded me of the London to Brighton veteran car run in the film Genevieve. Such a funny film. You seem to have a real knack of being in the right place at the right time.

Comment by: Colin Traynor on 16th March 2024 at 09:58

Nice opportunistic picture Dennis, a case of being in the right place at the right time.
Built in the days when you could have any colour of car you wanted as long as it was black!

Comment by: Arthur on 16th March 2024 at 11:05

Not only black, Colin, but Dark Green and Cream. Never a Bristol Mark.

Comment by: Cyril on 16th March 2024 at 11:49

Superb photo Dennis.

Veronica, your comment of Keystone Cops seems very apt, and I doubt there'll be any change in Wigan on May 2nd, as will be the case in Russia with RasPutin electing himself as el presidento again.

I like the guy who’s waiting at the lights. He looks as if he’s thinking “ what the eck is this?. Man dis place is total chaos”.

Comment by: Veronica on 16th March 2024 at 12:47

Cyril I don’t know why they bother with ‘elections’ in Russia. He can’t go on forever even if he does look like he’s been embalmed with that waxy face. God help Ukraine. They really do need all the help they can get. At least they stand their ground.

Sold for £5250 3 weeks ago. Now for sale in Bolton, at £10,750 .
Well, they’ve give it an oil change and new spark plugs.

Comment by: Jembo on 16th March 2024 at 20:00

Now that's a bit different. Nice one Dennis!

Comment by: Edna on 16th March 2024 at 21:46

This is a classic Dennis, you always seem to be there when it happens. Good photo.

Comment by: Rachel Turton on 16th March 2024 at 21:52

That’s my Dad’s car. He certainly does love to turn a few heads!

Comment by: Dennis Seddon on 16th March 2024 at 22:37

Is that your dad in the back Rachel? He certainly turned my head!

Just catching up on PAD, great picture, but just wondering if the motor has just been manufactured from the building it's in front of?
LOL
