Full Moon
A brilliant photo, as brilliant as the moonshine you have captured Colin !
The phones of today take such clear images, I find it amazing.
That’s a ‘belter’ if ever there was. Makes me think of Dracula it’s full of atmosphere.
The tree on the right looks like a face at the top.
Wow! What an amazing photo. It would make a perfect book-cover for a ghost story.
A count Dracula scene from the 1960s.
A cry from a Wolf or Owl calling out would scare the living daylights out of you on foot.
Lovely photo once again Colin, but can't wait for Spring.
For it to be classed as an amazing photo, good enough for a book cover, Im afraid you would have to have a better shaped tree.
This one is a little to heavy at the bottom.
Thanks for all the kind comment and to Brian for posting this on my behalf, it was taken at roughly 3AM Boxing Day morning.
Sue it looks heavy at the bottom due to Ivy growing up it, he tree and the Ivy are what nature provided in a natural setting not a manicured park.
Just found out what most already know and that is that the Photo Pirate is one Alan Jolley 'Roger'.
Keep you grubby mitts off WW and take your own pictures.
Yes it's the Ivy that's spoiled it, so the book cover idea won't be happening.,
Perhaps Sue should send a photo in …
Thank you Colin these photos keep the site going.
The composition is excellent .
I thought of Dracula before I read any comments, cracking photo.

Sue, I am just finishing the last draught of my book entitled ' The Ivy and the Full Moon' so you may see this on the bookshelves next Christmas. Sorry to disappoint, the book cover will be happening.
You might get a credit if you are really, really nice.
The Hound of the Baskervilles comes to mind or the Wolfman.
Lon Chaney, Bela Lugosi and Basil Rathbone would have been very proud of this Photo, Colin.
Bob, I just saw your comment.
I realise our pictures and uploads are in the public domain but if true this person should be really ashamed of his cheap tricks.
I don't do Facebook or other social media so have no idea what goes on.
Thanks again all.
Colin,I love it, great atmosphere and as Veronica says the face at the top of the right hand tree adds to the feel of the whole scene… thank you.
Colin if the publishers don't like the title ,The Ivy and the Full Moon, you could point out the blue plastic bag trapped in the tree, they might be able to come up with another idea.
Cracking photo Colin.
I hadn't noticed the blue plastic bag but I must admit it lends a certain ‘Je ne sais quoi’…a dab of heavenly blue to a monochrome effect. Not that we see many ‘placcy’ bags these days drifting about.
Horrifying and frightening photo Colin, you've got talent.
Very chilling.
Another stunning photo Colin. Thank you.
Excellent capture Colin of the ‘Cold Moon ‘ . At 3am you were a bit early , which is a shame as this is a wonderful picture . The full and fully lit Cold Moon was just after 7. 30 pm . At 3am it was still waxing (growing) . I hope you will keep posting Colin .
It may be a cold moon over Standish but Standish will aways have a warm heart.
Colin did you go bed late or got up early. 3am.
Dave's right 7am is the best time for full Bright Moon.
there's only one 7 o'clock in my day
At 3:00am I just happened be going to the bathroom and saw the bright light through the window.
It was an opportune picture, later and it clouded over so would have been missed. Glad you all liked it.
