I would not like to be walking down there Mick if anyone was sweeping those planks,just getting a taste for the Bacardi.
No such place !
Its good of the demolition men to erect a covered walkway to keep the dust of the Wigan shoppers but the plank roof still let water through when it raining.
I walked through this on Friday . You can see the white tiles still attached on the old arcade wall at the end.
When it rain's (lately it never stops) people walking will be wet through with all those gaps in the temporary roof.
A necessary but depressing passage, but it's either that or a trudge all the way up Market Street, possibly in the rain. I only go to Wigan now if I need to visit the optician, The Linacre Centre or Boston House Eye Clinic.
I much prefer shopping in Leigh, it still has traditional markets and not complicated, ample car parking too.
Well Alan you wont be getting wet will yer.

Folk might start doing the Hokey Cokey when it’s all finished..that man looks like he’s got corns or a stone in his shoe!
