Idyllic.
Thanks, Dennis.

A nice photo. I like the way the tree forms a natural frame. Dennis's photos of Aspull always have a peaceful " village green" feel about them.

Let’s hope it stays a green space and not taken over for houses.
We are losing so much where I live.

Aspull thankfully still continues to have that wonderful look of a rural village, others around Wigan which folks still insist are villages, have sadly long since lost that beholding, and with being over built are now resembling towns.

A superb photo Dennis, beautiful greenery and wonderful blue skies!

I suspect most of us live on land that was once green space. When I go back to Abram most of the new houses are built on land that I used to play on as a child. Unavoidable really. A bit sad at times.

Aspull is the best, nicest community in Wigan and District.

Six weeks full of summer ,
and not a care to hold ,
the blue skies high above me,
is where I will unfold .
My kite it will be set free
to join the clouds as one ,
a dream I had in childhood ,
when my summer had begun ..
