Nothing really to say about Tesco or indeed any other supermarket, only we are all being ripped off with high prices.

Yes Arthur i strongly agree with you every supermarket are just taking advantage of the prices in whats going on with the economy. Its appalling, everyone is folllowing each other. Its alright us complaining in todays society nobody is doing anything about it everyone is wrapped up in their own world nobody has got any backbone 40 years ago people used to do things in the 80s people should be out there doing things, everyone today are a waste of time, all the goverments whoever gets in are all the same and a waste of time i trust none of them.

Bring back the corner shop with that personal touch, and knew the locals by their name.

Well the man coming out after his purchase of a cardboard box seems happy enough, though he mustn't have realised they're Buy One Get One Free.

Ripped off with high prices, then blame the silly folk who a few years ago went daft buying toilet rolls like there was no tomorrow, they started all these price increases.

I think our supermarkets are great, they even have disability scooters for those who cant walk all the way around.
And you can take away empty cardboard boxes to use for you ebay shipments.

Over on Communicate Peter P is discussing plastics that supposedly aren't recyclable, https://www.wiganworld.co.uk/communicate/mb_message.php?opt=f1&msd=1555179&page=1&subject=Plastics/landfill
However, for some time there has been a collection point inside Tesco Wigan Extra opposite customer services, where you can dispose of everyday single use plastic, https://www.tescoplc.com/news/2021/shoppers-can-now-return-all-their-soft-plastic-packaging-to-recycling-points-at-every-large-tesco-store-in-the-uk/

To follow on from the good discussion on the same thread about plastic by Mollie M.

I too have thought about this plastic problem and wondered that if the scientists who when in their laboratories and inventing and pioneering these different plastics, and fibres too such as acrylic, nylon and polyester etc., could have then envisaged the future problems and environmental damage these materials would ultimately cause humans and animals, would they still have gone ahead with their experiments?
I think they still would have done, after all they were being pushed to do so by those with money and who wanted more of it.

We all know Tesco’s motto”every little helps”for the shareholders.

I can remember the Tesco supermarket around 1968 - just before the Court Cinema. It was about the size of two average semi detached house lounges in area.
