Aspull Clock

Aspull Clock
I wonder if the clock will still be here after the Health Centre is finished.

Why do you think they MAY remove the clock. Have they got plans to tarmac the area for a car park? Why spoil what looks like a nice kept grassed area in the centre of the village

Lovely photo of Aspull and what a clear blue sky. I always look at the clock whenever we drive through, as well as the rest of Aspull. It seems such a lovely friendly sort of a place. I hope the clock stays.

I really hope so Dennis.

That is a really beautiful clock.

It’s good that the people of Aspull are having a Health Centre built, yet there’s not many shops for residents who don’t drive and live too far away to walk. No bus either from Dicconson Lane I just wonder how they manage. When I used to catch that bus a few of the people (older and some disabled) regularly caught it and had no other means of transport.

This photo makes me think of owd Ron, I don't think he would have been to pleased to see the Aspull village green littered with a tin can.
Ive said that the plasticy looking clock needs moving several times on here,

I still think it looks beautiful.

"It’s good that the people of Aspull are having a Health Centre built " -

But I bet they'll struggle to get an appointment at it.

You can’t be certain of that Almighty B. Try to think positive… it may be a walk-in Centre. I feel envious anyway for us in W/H

Blimey Bruce! You’re such a little ray of sunshine, I don’t know how we would make it through this miserable Winter without your and Mick’s cheery comments.

Great photo Dennis.

DTease, spot on, their comments are that jolly it makes one think they are of the same mould.

That is a really beautiful clock.

You’ve hit the nail on the head Dtease as usual. They are only happy when they’re moaning about something! God knows how their other halves put up with ‘um.

I always say that if someone is having a go at me, they are leaving someone else alone!

I always say , you can lead a horse to water , but you can’t climb a ladder with a rabbit in each hand .

Comment by: DTease on 29th January 2023 at 19:47

Lead us into the light O great Ozy one, show us thy meaning O thou great mystic of the east. Guide us upon the paths of righteousness. Thy words are like unto a mystery wrapped in an all consuming enigma. Reveal unto us the meaning of thy sayings O most learned of the learned, so that we can come to thy bomb shelter and praise thee to the highest degree.

Just saying what I always say DTease …. nothing more .
I’m always saying that …
Inasmuch as I say it all the time … repeatedly .

In fact I’m world famous around Wiggin for always saying it .

“ Here comes Ozy they say , just you wait … give him a minute and he’ll tell you about the horse and the rabbits “ .

Everyone knows it’s all I ever say .

Oh! , the only time I don’t say it though , is when I’m asking for half a dozen eggs .

That’s when I usually write a note .

And what’s this all consuming enema that you’re on about ?… and why is it wrapped up ?

Comment by: Edna on 29th January 2023 at 22:32

Ho dear, the clock must stay its a fixture of Aspull, lovely photo Dennis
